| Dear Fred, Happy New Year to you and your family! This letter is coming to you much later than I had intended it to, but I felt it was important let you know how pleased we are with the design you created for us last spring. We’ve split it up into a two to three year project and it has been very gratifying to put your plan into living colour. Our neighbours really enjoy watching the transformation as well and we have been getting lots of compliments. When we first got the design, we questioned whether the pathways shouldn’t be more rounded, but now that they are in, we appreciate how it compliments the bold, straight lines of our home and harmonizes the total picture. The large, wide plateau’s coming up to the house and being flush with the front entrance has served as a practical solution to getting buggies, groceries etc to the front door with ease. Your plant choice allows for something new to look forward to in every season. I can hardly wait for spring to see all our bulbs and plants burst into life! It takes a lot of knowledge and experience to know what plants can grow where and beside what; how tall each variety will get, and what time of year each plant will look its best. We are very glad that we chose your professional advice and have been giving your name out to friends and relatives. I hope all your clients will be as satisfied as we are with your work. | Dear Fred: We are delighted to be able to provide you with this reference letter. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience of working with you in Designing and creating our garden! I know that we had a very long list of things we liked and didn’t like, i.e. rocks, stone, plant material, no grass, as well as wanting to have a garden that was inspired by the Chinese Scholar gardens we saw while in China. We are interested in getting some quotes on having the patio and pergola done. Would you be able to supply us with some names of contractors who would be able to do the work?
